Wedding Open Day at Gibbon Bridge 2nd January 2011

The fabulous Janet Simpson owner of the magnificent Gibbon Bridge and her brilliant C&B team will be here all day to welcome prospective Brides, Grooms and their families. The doors have been opened to all of the superb rooms and suites The Gibbon Bridge has to offer for small intimate private dinners to huge wedding breakfasts, The Gibbon Bridge has it all.... We've dressed the dining tables with some favourite Flower Design centre pieces
We've used this long "Living Sculpture" on one of the larger bay window tables, Katarina has created a frame of contorted Hazel and Salix, into this she's woven fresh Bridal Crown and Tete a Tete bulbs, using filigree wire work in silver and black she's attached Champagne flutes into which small posies and nosegays of Hyacinth, Jasmine and Paper Whites have been placed.
This particular design has been inspired by the wonderful gardens of The Gibbon Bridge

The Gibbon Bridge is famous for its delicious Afternoon teas so we decided to create this elaborate afternoon tea cake stand of sublime Vanda Orchids "Purple Magic"

There have been lots and lots of lovely visitors all day and it really has been a great pleasure to chat with so many great people
The top table design was dominated by some luscious white Amaryllis and Phalaenopsis Orchids
A delicious wedding cake created in the on-site bakery
