Augill Castle is an amazing find and if you're looking for somewhere quintisentially English, cosy, intimate, romantic, atmospheric, classy and quite simply fabulous then this would be the perfect choice for a 2009 or 2010 wedding venue.
I absolutely adored this wedding bouquet, I used a fabulous combination of natural wintery materials twisted branches and ivy trails alongside secretive delicate Lily of the Valley, Ladies Slipper Orchids & Christmas Roses, I hand tied the design to give it a feeling of spontanaiety and wildness that is essential in a venue like Augill Castle.
I used some lovely Begonia Rex leaves and skimmia berries to add depth, light and shade to the design.
It is so important to carry your bouquet properly and we always do a little bouquet handling lesson when we deliver the bouquet to the bedroom. Lorraine was absolutely a natural and carried her bouquet with flair.
These are the two adult Bridesmaids bouquets and the Flower Girls bouquet.
The Groom's boutonierre was designed to compliment Lorraine's bouquet the Ladies Slipper "Paphiopedlilum" Orchid dominated with rolled Black Baccara rose petals to add the all essential colour contrast.
The gorgeous Flower Girl looked totally perfect, her bouquet was in proportion and easy for her to manage.
Jennifer & Ross McDonald's Christmas Wedding at St Annes Church Singleton & Bartle Hall
Emma & Malcolm were looking after this wedding for Flower Design and they took all of the lovely photographs, they were up bright and early to dress the arch around the front door of St Annes Parish Church in Singleton.
They found the Groom's party at The Miller Arms and pinned on all of the boutonnieres

The boys arrived at Church in style...

The Bridesmaids Julie, Shelly and Rachel and little Charlotte looked beautiful
As did the arch
Charlotte made a magical Flower Girl
The bouquets were created from from Pink Roses, Callas & Anthuriums
The lovely Bride Jennifer and her Dad Patrick arrived
The Scouts were there to create a bridal archway
Many thanks to Jennifer & Ross for allowing Flower Design to be a part of their big day.

Congratulations to Jennifer & Ross from all of the events team at Flower Design
Then off to Bartle Hall for the celebrations, now these photographs were taken very early consequently the tables aren't set up and the chair covers weren't on so you'll need to use your imagination.
Through The Christmas Key Hole of a Very English Christmas
We really hope you all had a lovely Christmas.
Jason and I are feeling quite smug, we don’t know how but we have managed to see all of our families, we have an eclectic selection of brothers and sisters, halves, steps and fulls between us, not to mention the very best collection of nephews and nieces around.
I even managed to put a beautiful wreath of Hellebores, evergreens and Orchids on my Dad’s grave, which I know he would have adored.
Christmas for me is definitely about reconnecting with the ones I love very much and I’m sure it’s the same for most of you.
Flowers and foliages as you will see from the following pictures are a very big part of the celebrations in my own family and in my minds eye every image I conjure from memory seems to be framed by some lovely petals or branches, a hint of candle light or a glorious bloom.
So I thought I should share some of this flower magic with you, some of these photos are from my family Christmas and others are of snaps Jason took on Christmas Eve when he delivered to some of our most special customers and we thank you for letting us show them. Some of the very best of these pictures were taken by the extremely talented Emily Oldroyd of her own Christmas Day.
