Joanne & Ian's Perfect Wedding Day at The Dunkenhalgh

I was so excited about Ian & Joanne's wedding day, their choice of colour was splendid; this was always going to be a colourful affair, a fabulous family occasion filled with lots of colour and laughter and happiness, the fresh flowers, though only a small part of this spectacular wedding are recorded here and I hope you'll enjoy a few of our photographs ....

Isabelle was the most perfect Flower Girl ever, she manged her flowers beautifully and performed all of her duties magnificently.

Some of you may remember the lovely Halina her own wedding was not too long ago.

Joanne looked totally radiant

Joanne's Lovely mum Christine and a close up of her eppaulette corsage

Then to The Dunkenhalgh in Accrington, the venue for the ceremony, a really splendid location, we were looked after by Matthew throughout our time there and I have to say his attention to detail and sheer professionalism was seriously spot on.
We'd dressed the ceremony room with some fabulous designs incorporating Heliconias, Roses, Blossom & Gingers
We arranged two candelit pedestal designs on either side of the registrars table and a full and luscious arrangement on the table top Two lovely creations on the fireplace
And a couple of floor standing arrangements around the room

I included Sweet Peas, Hydrangeas, Roses & Jasmine in the pedestals

Heliconias
Then we found Ian, Joanne's handsome Groom and pinned his special buttonhole on
Ian's Boutonierre consisted of a Schwartzwalder Calla Lily & Rolled Cherry Brandy Rose petals

Best Man John wearing a fabulous Passion Rose

Grandma Dot & Grandad Hugh wore Avalanche Rose Boutonierre's

Groom's Mum wearing a fabulous blue Corsage of Hyacinth Pips, Veronica & Eryngium

We included throughout the designs Black Baccara Roses
Tulips
Cherry Brandy Roses
Gingers & Pink Intuition Roses

And Schwartzwalder Calla Lilies

Brides Mum Christine Wearing her gorgeous Corsage & Grandad Bill

The Bridesmaid's Bouquets toned beautifully with the claret gowns
Joanne looked incredible
The lovely Isabelle, Isabelle's bouquet included Sweet Peas, Roses & Skimmia, I felt the Calla Lilies used in Halina & Rebecca's Bouquets would be a little too heavy.

The wedding bouquet was truly a riot of colour, I included Cool Water, Black Bacarra, Passion, Cherry Brandy, David Austin's Darcey and Pink Intuition Roses, Calla Lilies in complimentary shades, fresh Rosemary & Skimmia, I try not to use too much foliage at this time of the year, once the leaves start to appear on the trees I start including more foliages.
Reflections
So many congratulations to Joanne & Ian from all of the events team at Flower Design

Joe from specialized Cakes in Burnley created one of his masterpieces, a confection in chocolate and berries, I love Joe's work it is head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to this style of cake, I have seen many imitations but never one as exquisite as this.

We arranged tall martini glasses on the tables, filled with roses, heliconias and gingers

The registrars table becomes a very intimate top table for three; Ian, Joanne & Isabelle
This was such a wonderful wedding, I feel so honoured to have been a small part of it there were many other great wedding professionals who helped bring this beautiful wedding together so here's some links to the very excellent suppliers on the day The Dunkenhalgh Hotel, Gareth Doe Photography, Specialized Cakes, Dan Kerr Bridal

Stephanie & John's Fabulous Wedding Day at The White Church & The Villa, Wrea Green

I met up with Stephanie at The Villa in Wrea Green where she was getting ready, she'd already had her done as had the Bridesmaids with Stewart at S&P Hair, the make up was in mid creation when I arrived to deliver the Flower Design bridal bouquets and show everyone how to carry them...Stephanie's wedding bouquet was in a profusion of hot pink and violet, I included Cezanne, Ageratum, Veronica, Pink & Purple tulips and wax flower blossom.

Stephanie & her very proud Dad

Huge congratulations to the brand new Mr & Mrs Hill

Then on to The Villa at Wrea Green for the wedding breakfast, we love weddings at The Villa and Stewart the manager is just brilliant, there's a real homely feel to this venue, very cosy, all the chairs are mis-matched and the dining area is divided into smaller bespoke spaces, it's really great for weekend weddings as there's loads of bedrooms for all your guests

We arranged tall lily vases on some of the tables

The top table had a Church Pedestal behind it and a crystal cake stand with a candle design of Sweet Peas and Jasmine

Jason re-arranged the Pew End designs into vases for some of the tables
The tall table vases included Pussy willow, Clematis, Roses, Tulips, Ageratum & Jasmine

A fabulous wedding day so beautifully planned with some really fabulous wedding professionals involved helping to make this a really memorable day: S&P Hair, The Villa, The White Church & Lancashire Wedding Photographers
