Consequently Yvette has joined our team and will be working alongside Rachel in Flower Design, Yvette completed her degree in floristry at Myerscough College this year and we're all looking forward to working with her and welcoming her into the fold.
This event has taken months to organise, and when we had our first planning meetings last Autumn, Paul Rowley & I could only dream of a day like today, we didn't dare hope for a turnout of such magnitude nor could we imagine what a great job all of the exhibitors would do.
The Gillow Room table dressed with crystal candelabras, Orchids & Roses, the brilliant Ben Glover from Rowley's had spent literally hours laying all the tables beautifully and ensuring the hall was immaculate and ready to recieve visitors.

Rowley's Catering welcomed everyone with either steaming Hot Chocolate (With Baileys) or a delicious cocktail, all day exquisite canapes both sweet & savoury were served from exotic platters and cake stands.

And so the end of a truly amazing day, my particular thanks and heartfelt appreciation to one of my bestest buddies Paul Rowley without whom none of this would have been possible, Paul ,even though throughout this whole process we haven't always seen eye to eye, (we have dear reader had many a fall out!) I feel the results speak for themselves, you are a star and Jas & I Love You!

The Salon at The Grand is the most perfect space for celebrating any Birthday from 18th Birthday's to 75th Birthday's, Anniversary's and even small weddings.
As the event was to celebrate a young man's 21st, we kept the colours on the masculine side; Raspberry, Plum, Mustard, Lime, Violet, Ruby & Mango
We used Amaryllis, Vanda Orchids, Cymbidium Orchids, Gerbera, Roses, Anthuriums, Calla Lilies & Anemones

We were discussing in the shop yesterday about how the most simplest of designs often give the very best effect, however don't be fooled, this stuff takes a lot of planning, I'm thinking about the balance of colour, the rhythm created by the placement of flowers on the table, the choice of flowers complex & simple blooms interacting beautifully, the character of these flowers working perfectly for a man, the proportion in line with the space provided not just on the table but in the entire room and because we've thought all of these thoughts this looks this good, so fresh and so vibrant because quite simply it was designed that way!
We are so lucky here in St Annes to have such a fabulous hotel on our doorstep everything about it is spot on, so if your planning any kind of intimate party this room is perfect, if you like something a little larger The Grand can accomodate you in their magnificent banqeting Suite.
