Sarah & Gary's Glorious Lilac & Purple Wedding Day at St Mary's Goosnargh & Bartle Hall

It was a long and wonderful day on Sunday, we'd set out early to clear down the Marquee at Whitewell before decorating the Lytch Gate at St. Mary's before the early morning service at 8:30, then back to Flower Design HQ to load the van, box up the bouquets and get back to Goosnargh to deliver Sarah's wedding bouquets

This is always an exciting and heart stopping moment when I un veil the bridal bouquets, there's so much anticipation and expectation....

Sarah's Bouquet was just lovely, her choice of colours were perfect, I'd used Sweet Peas in Purples, Damsons & Lavenders alongside fresh Lily of the Valley Peony Duchess De Nemours , Little Silver Roses, Metalina & Amnesia Roses, Ocean Song Roses and lots of fragrant herbs including Myrtle
Then of course the all important FD bouquet holding lesson and an introduction to the gorgeous blooms in all of the bouquets

The handle of the bouquet was completed with a vintage brooch
My old friend Debbie was there doing a fabulous job of everyones hair (She's now at Studio 4 on Pleasant Street in Lytham)

Then we were off to light all our lanterns, spray and titivate all the flowers at Church, The Lytch Gate was just perfect and dressed with a selection of fresh fragrant flowers and foliages the perfume was carried on the breeze and reached the far edges of Goosenargh I was informed later by a lovely lady

The Vicar John was so lovely and he did a great service

The dramatic pedestals were a celebration of fabulous English Delphiniums and Roses with some luscious Hydrangeas too The end of each alternate pew was dressed with a fragrant posy of Sweet Peas and Patience Roses

The lanterns looked really welcoming as the weather changed and a summer shower ensued

Our Jason went on Umbrella duty bring the ladies from the car park to the Church undercover of his Golf umbrella, unfortunately for the boys it was "Ladies Only" thing!

Sarah's handsome Groom Gary looking a little dryer
The Groom's Boutonniere of Stephanotis & Roses

The Page Boy's Boutonniere of two Little Silver Rose buds

The boys were waiting armed with umbrellas for the Bridesmaids to arrive

And they looked adorable carring perfect posies of Sweet Peas and Little Silver Rose

One of my all time favourite photographers the lovely Steve from Derwent Photography, he's such a lovely guy and his work is simply sublime, perfect for when the weather is a little inclement I can't wait to see his images on his blog...

Sarah looked so beautiful and her father so proud

Massive congratulations to Gary & Sarah from all of the events team here at Flower Design

These purle, lavender and lilac shades look so summery and lush, in the wedding bouquet I also included Lilac, Spiraea, Stephanotis, Hydrangea and Albiflora

Then we were off to Bartle Hall to arrange the table designs which were all quite unique, this design includes a fabulous posy of Patience and Little Silver in the centre and small posies of Sweet Peas, Hydrangeas, Sweet William and Curcuma

The central vase here is a collection of Alliums and chives, surrounded by some fragrant Sweet Peas, Patience Roses and Pepper Mint

The central vase contains a posy of Avalanche Roses, with Alliums, Sweet Peas, Curcumas and Hydrangeas

Hydrangea Posy in the centre and Lissianthus, Sweet Peas, Litte Silver and Phlox surrounding itA fabulous posy of Scabiosa in the centre again surrounded by posies of Faith Roses, Allium, Little Silver, Hydrangeas and Sweet Peas

The top table was a Flower Design "Reflections" creation
I used the pew end posies from church in and amongst the logs in the fire place
Posies along the top table included Stephanotis, Spiraea

The top table was flanked by the two glorious Delphinium Pedestals from ChurchAlternate tables had these sumptuos spheres on top of clear glass column stands

Peonies and stocks yummy!

Suzanne from Bartle Hall does the very best table setting I see anywhere the glasses cutlery and crockery are laid out immaculately in straight lines and then the napkins are folded with such flair I love it!
Chair covers were by Dawn from Creative Cover Hire
