The Inn at Whitewell in the Forest of Bowland is a really special place, it is an authentic Inn set in the most stunning countryside and was the venue for Brian and Maureen's perfect wedding day.
Maureen was getting ready in "Room 11" right at the very top of the building with the most spectacular views over the river and valley below, I unveiled her exquisite spring wedding bouquet...
And handed it over to a seriously excited Bride
The wedding bouquet was frilly, frothy collection of fragrant spring blooms, I included White Lilac, Tulips, Almond Blossom, Lily of the Valley, Ranunculas, Bouvardia, Roses & Hydrangeas
The Ceremony was held in the Orangery, a lovely little room just off the bar with a wall of windows overlooking the river, the Registrars were in situ ready to meet The Groom.
We'd arranged two natural spring pedestals and a sumptuous design on the registars table to frame the couple throughout the ceremony
The window sills were dressed with tiny posies and hurricane lamps, an invitation to the guests to look at the view.
The little windowsill posies were a random assortment of gloriously seasonal material
Broom, Tulips, Lime Green Hydrangeas and Bouvardia
Rose Buds, Freesia, Bouvardia and Hypericum
A delicate crystal cake stand topped with Narcissus, Tulips, Freesias, Roses, Myrtle, Viburnum Opulus, Thalaspi, Broom andHypericum berries.
A glass goblet of Roses, Green Ranunculas and Paper Whites
The green Ranunculas look so mysterious
The backs of each of the chairs was dressed with trails of fresh green ivy
We met up with Brian, Maureen's handsome Bride Groom and pinned on his elaborate Boutonniere of fresh fragrant Lily of the Vallley, Rolled Memory Lane Rose Petals and an Avalanche Rose
Maureen made her way down the stairs and accompanied by her son Andrew headed for the Orangery
Maureen looked completely stunning and totally happy!
Scott Robertson is a fabulous classical guitarist and was the perfect choice for this intimate wedding
The fresh flowers framed the new Mr & Mrs Mills perfectly
Huge Congratulations to Maureen and Brian from all of the team at Flower Design Events
The lovely Emma (Banqueting Manager at The Inn) was on hand to greet the Bride & Groom with a glass of Pink Champagne
In natural day light the fresh flowers in Maureens Wedding Bouquet really did come alive, the detail and colours were just perfect with Maureen's beautiful ensemble, the bridal bouquet is a celebration of the season including lots of lusciousness, White Lilac, Fragrant Lily of the Valley, Ranunculas, White Almond Blossom, Dille, Rosemary, Champagne Grass, Ivy Trails and trailing Amaranthus
Back in the Orangery a transformation was taking place, Emma and her team did a stupendous job of creating the most perfect wedding breakfast room
Jason lighting up the last candelabra and the scene was set...
We'd arranged four of our Verdi Gris candelabras down the centre of the long table each one was dressed with white Jasmine, Broom, Roses, Freesia, Cymbidium & Dendrobium Orchids, Tulips and Tuberosa, the fragrance heightened by the warmth of the candles was simply heavenly
The Registrars table design was re-arranged and took up centre stange in the middle of the dining tableA tiny vase of fragrant Lily of the Valley and another of rich Hypericum berries was placed directly in front of our gorgeous Bride & Groom
The Crystal Cake Stand Design now graced the elegant wedding breakfast table
Tiny vases of spring posies were distributed randomly along the tables length, we made sure there was enough for everyone to take one home with them.
The magnificent natural style pedestals looked spectacular as if Spring had well and truly arrived at The Inn
The wedding bouquet took up it's position next to the stunning wedding cake created by a family friend
Once the lights were dimmed an atmosphere of total romance prevailed
This really was a very special wedding and we truly felt honoured to have been a part of it (a very small part) huge thanks to the super lovely Maureen & Brian for choosing Flower Design Events to create their wedding flowers!!!
