Flower Design Trip to Kendal

Our very gorgeous "Bride to be" Nicky, we travelled up to the Lakes to do a walk through of Nicky & Christopher's superb wedding venue; The Castle Green Hotel, Kendal.

We met up with Nicky & Chris's uber enthusiastic photographer Lorraine from Bowness Wedding photography, Lorraine and I are old friends as Lorraine has family on The Fylde and also does lots of weddings here to.

The grounds around this hotel are simply divine and I can imagine that the photographs on the day will be magnificent. Lorraine walked Nicky through all of the spots she'd earmarked for certain photographs.

The gardens were full of spring bulbs bursting with colour.
This whole area is undulating hills and valleys.

The blossom trees looked magnificent.

Then we arrived back to the very flat scenery of The Fylde Coast, equally as beautiful but in a completely different way.

The Highwayman for lunch

Today we had a little trip up to The lake District to meet one my lovely brides at her wedding venue up in Kendal, I'll tell you more about that tomorrow.

We had a great trip, the weather was perfect, lots of country lanes lined with daffodils, rolling hills and superb countryside complete with spring lambs.

On the way back we stopped at a fantastic pub for lunch The Highwayman, we enjoyed delicious local produce, beef from a local farm with perfectly cooked veggies and then the most stupendous Apple Pie ever eaten, light sweet pastry packed full with flavoursome apples, on the side a hunk of Lancashire cheese and jugs of Carnation Milk & proper custard.

All the staff were lovely and there was a really warm cosy atmosphere, with roaring fires, we weren't expecting a treat, we just needed feeding, but we had a great experiencee, I love it when your expectations are greatly exceeded.

These images are all taken on my new pocket size camera "Canon Ixus 85 IS"

Flower Design Go to a Fashion Show

My very beautiful 2nd born and her extremely talented and gorgeous friends in her "Young Enterprise" group organised a fantastic evening of "Cheap Couture" at Fylde Rugby Club.

The idea was simple they had a small budget to buy clothes from local charity shops and then pitched them against the fabulous designs from "Pond" in St Annes.

The Flower Design Team were there in force, we're very much into fashion don't you know!

The girls all looked amazing in "Gok'd" clothes but we concluded that they'd probably look fabulous in bin bags.

Little Emily took to the cat walk if only to collect her raffle winnings
The 2nd borns boyfriend Henry, didn't want to miss out on a bit of modelling too
