We were thrilled to be involved in this fantastic event. As a life long florist I remember the days of queues outside my parents shop for Red Rose Buttonholes on St George’s Day, I have vivid recollections of all the local churches having fabulous floral decorations in celebration of St George.
The flowers that we’ve provided are our way of re-capturing the spirit of St George’s Day celebrations of yesteryear and hopefully a re-awakening of national pride in our Patron Saint.
We were truly delighted to be invited to participate in raising funds for such worthy charities and can’t think of a better way of doing it than this wonderful St Georges Day Festival.
For those guests who wanted to enjoy these fabulous flowers at home and to continue the St Georges Day celebrations they very generously placed bids for these fantastic designs complete with the containers provided by Sharon Haythornthwaite.
Paul Rowley and his team of chefs and waitresses provided a sumptuous banquet.
The army were in attendance their tents weren't quite as plush as the enormous CKMarquee
