Joanne & Wayne Ogden's Flower Design "Vintage Romance & English Charm" Wedding Day at The Great Hall at Mains

Joanne & all the girls were getting ready at The Shard Riverside Inn just over the bridge from The Great Hall at Mains, we delivered the Bridal Bouquets nice and early, showing everyone how to carry them.

Even with their hair in rollers the two flower Girls Ebony & Elkie looked adorable, Joanne's chief Bridesmaid Kate was an absolute natural at "Bouquet holding"

Janet, Joanne's lovely mum had everything under control!

We found the handsome Groom Wayne on the riverside terrace, I pinned on all of the Boutonniere's, Wayne's was just a bit more special with a sprig of fresh Lily of the Valley, Rosalind Rose and fresh Jasmine.

Best Man Daniel and all the Ushers wore David Austin's Rosalind rose together with fresh Rosemary and Jasmine Boutonnieres.

We caught up with the boys again at The Great Hall, where we Pinned on The Groom's Mum Julie's Corsage of Vendella Rose and Quick Sand rolled petals.
The Great Hall is magnificent and seriously one of the very best civil ceremony venues in our area, the space is majestic with high ceilings almost "church like", but the best bit is that the Bride has a really good aisle to walk up, which really makes the most of gowns with trains and "Umpteen" Bridesmaids.
We decorated the Registrars table with a full and luscious garland of fresh Roses, Passion Flower, Jasmine and strings of pearls. Flower Design
The actual ceremony space was framed by our vintage Candelabra's dressed with fresh flowers and lots of candles and tea lights provided by the team at The Great Hall, who also tied luxurious ribbons on to the backs of all the chairs.

The Bridesmaid's Bouquets were made from a rich combination of David Austin English Roses and some specialist Roses from Equador.

Janet's Handbag was dressed by Rosemary (Our Flower Design Corsage & Wired Work specialist Florist), she'd wired and rolled individual Metalina Rose petals to create miniature roses, she'd also used pale blue Delphinium Elatum Heads and one or two diamante Crystals that twinkled in the sunlight.

Rosemary also created the hair palette flowers for both Joanne & Kate.

What a transformation! these two Flower Girls looked completely scrumptious, I made them tiny posies to suit their height, Ebony's is just a little bit larger than Elkie's, but both included Hypnose, Green Tea and Godetia.

Those of you who read my blog regularly will know that Steve & Stephanie Ashton from Ashton Photography are by a country mile our favourite photographers, it is such a joy to work with them, we are really looking forward to seeing their fabulous shots.

The Bride and her Dad Paul arrived in an immaculate horsedrawn carriage, with fabulous Black Horses.

Joanne took everyone's breath away when she arrived, she looked so totally stunningly gorgeous (These words were the one's Jason used when she arrived)
Joanne's Bouquet was so beautiful to make, I used the very last of this summers Peonies, Lily of the Valley, Jasmine, English Roses, Fresh Herbs and lovely foliages, Joanne & I discussed lots of possibilities for colour combinations but decided on this rich vintage pink selection, and I'm so glad we did, when the day is as bright as this, many of the paler shades simply bleach out, but these deep hot tones looked spectacular.

The decision regarding the shape of the bouquet was easy given the fluid style of Joanne's Pronovias gown, so the soft gently cascading bouquet was so pleasing to the eye.

We placed a few flowers in the back of Joanne's hair which you can just catch a glimpse of here.

We wish Joanne & Wayne a long and happy life together from all the events team at Flower Design

On the handle of Joanne's bouquet we attached a small vintage brooch as a little bit of something old and a keepsake to treasure.

Chriss phenominal manager of TGHM, Chriss runs a really tight ship here and the events are so well organised that as a supplier it is always a huge pleasure to work at TGHM.

The team from Twelve Event Management set to work on transforming the Ceremony into a wonderful banqueting hall.
Twelve are massively thorough, polishing every piece of cutlery and wine glass, the food is every bit as fanatstic as their sublime service, I only wished we were staying for the food the menu sounded delicious (with a bit of a vintage vibe too)

Janet (Bride'sMum) had made the exquisite wedding cake.

Emma, Shirl & Vicky (Our senior event designers) made all of the fabulous table designs all of which were on a vintage theme, with Bird Cages, Candelabras, Crystal Cake Stands and Silver Fruit Bowls it was a really eclectic mix that added to the bespoke atmosphere that prevailed all day.

Jason with Chef Paul from Twelve talking food as usual. If you haven't tried Twelve (Their Thornton Restaurant) yet you really need to, it is our favourite eatery.

Lizzie from TGHM team & Caroline head honcho from Twelve giving the room the final once over before the guests are invited in for dinner.

The fabulous Bridesmaid's their work here was done and it was time to relax and enjoy!

All of the floristry at this fabulous wedding was created by our own team of professional florists at Flower Design
