What a glorious day it was on Saturday, Jason & I were up a ladder outside St Cuthberts by breakfast time being pipped by every passing car, I apologise for our lack of "waving back" but due to our joint fear of heights, hanging on took priority over friendliness.
The "Lovely Jane" from Pure Beauty was busy finishing off the make up when we arrived at the brides home. So whilst that was going on we pinned on buttonholes and corsages, Veronica & Brendan Leanne's parents are positively gorgeous, so much so Jason wants to be adopted!
Then the "Big" moment; the bouquet hand over
...and what a relief, it all went smoothly and though I had scissors poised for a little "hedge trimming" it wasn't in the least bit necessary and Leanne, who has a fear of all things untidy allowed me a little Jasmine flourish!
A serious moment of concentration for the Flower Design bouquet holding session
As you can see Brendan did want in on the action...
Then back to the very fabulous St Cuthbert's Church to light up the lanterns, water spray and generally check over everything before meeting up with Leanne's handsome Groom
The Lytch Gate at St Cuthbert's is legendery and is so worth decorating, I love it!
We included some lovely Roses, Hydrangeas & Sweet Peas, it's fragrance was heavenly
We decorated the Bay trees with sweet smelling Sweet Peas too
The Groom's Mum's Corsage
Tall elegant candelit Pedestals looked perfect inside Church
We included Delphinium Elatum, Peonies, Tulips, Roses & Hydrangeas
The flautist was rehearsing which was just gorgeous
The ends of the pews were dressed with delicate posies of fresh fragrant Sweet Peas
Nick, Leanne's Groom arrived and I pinned on his Buttonhole of a Sweet Avalanche Rose, Dendrobium Orchid and a touch of pale green Hydrangea.
Nick's glamarous Mum, wearing her lovely corsage of Rose buds and Dendrobium Orchid.
"Our Sally" looking seriously gorgeous, with her lovely and long suffering other half Martin
She was worth two pictures...

Leanne's brother Adrian, who also played the flute perfectly in Church, I really enjoyed it.
The Bridesmaids and Veronica arrived looking beautiful
The Bridesmaids were wearing a very soft pale green which looked so delicate and lovely, the Bouquets included Pale Green Hydrangea, Roses; Faith, Sweet Avalanche, Avalanche and Gracia Creme, I edged them with a delicate sprays of Eucalyptus that toned perfectly with the shade of the gowns.
Leanne arrived in a whirlwind of deliciousness
She looked absolutely exquisite!
This was a well rehearsed retinue, just look at that spacing!
How proud can a father be?
I think Leanne literally floated up the path...
Leanne's Wedding Bouquet in Pale Green and just a hint of blush pink, I used Peonies, Fresh Lily of the Valley, Tulips, Sweet Peas, Hydrangeas & Roses, completed with a flourish of Jasmine.
So many Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Halstead from all of the events team at Flower Design
I love these pictures they really capture the blissfulness of the day

Then to The Grand Hotel for the festivities
We dressed the tables with a combination of high and low designs The higher designs were very neat and elegant on high glass columns
The lower designs were groups of low glass column vases with small spherical posies of flowers, on this table I used Ranunculas
Sweet Avalanche Roses
Hydrangeas
And the top table I think was simply glorious, my favourite one this season
Simple yet elegant
This was a really elegant wedding day, we loved the flower choice which always makes it such a joy when we're creating the final designs. Leanne & Nick, what a fabulous couple, Leanne is a very serious planner with an eye for detail, I love working with brides like this because they notice everything we do which is perfect!
