Beautiful people deserve beautiful days, it can't always be that way of course but thankfully Easter Sunday couldn't have been more beautiful or more perfect for Stephanie & Andrew!
~
Today's blog posting is going to be peppered with quotes from "Breakfast at Tiffany's" the inspiration for this wonderful, wonderful wedding day, much of Stephanie and my correspondence and our decisions have not only included but have in fact been directed by "Hollie Golightly"!
So first one, it may have all started like this....
Holly Golightly: I'll tell you one thing, Fred, darling... I'd marry you for your money in a minute. Would you marry me for my money?
The second one in reference to Me, heck it's my blog so why not!...
Holly Golightly: Do you think she's talented, deeply and importantly talented? Paul Varjak: No. Amusingly and superficially talented, yes. But deeply and importantly, no. Glorious Peonies, Roses, Sweet Peas, Arabicum, Anemones, Germinis and lots more loveliness in an exquisite wedding bouquet, all finished off with the most fabulous Tiffany coloured brooch
Oh I think she is, in a little over an hour and she loved her gorgeous wedding bouquet...
Holly Golightly: I don't want to own anything until I find a place where me and things go together. I'm not sure where that is but I know what it is like. It's like Tiffany's.
Paul Varjak: Tiffany's? You mean the jewelry store.
Holly Golightly: That's right. I'm just CRAZY about Tiffany's! I really wanted Stephanie to feel like that about her wedding bouquet and of course Flower Design Events!!!! so when I handed her, her wedding bouquet and saw how thrilled she was it was so exhilarating!!!!
.Paul Varjak: I don't think I've ever drunk champagne before breakfast before. With breakfast on several occasions, but never before, before.
On this particular shot I think we both look like we have!!!
Holly Golightly: "I've got to do something about the way I look, How do I look?" ~
And my old friend, yet another Stephanie was doing an amazing job of the hair
Holly Golightly:" Well, when I get it the only thing that does any good is to jump in a cab and go to Tiffany's. Calms me down right away. The quietness and the proud look of it; nothing very bad could happen to you there. If I could find a real-life place that'd make me feel like Tiffany's, then - "...
.... I'd get married there and what could be a more magical place than The Great Hall at Mains, nothing bad could ever happen there only good things!!!!The registrars table to the left of the fire place was dressed with exquisite floral jewels
Sweet Peas, Roses, Pearls, Germini & Crystals
On the right hand registrars table we used mirrored cake stands, crystal shot glasses all filled with delicate posies of Anemones, Sweet Peas and Crystal Blush Calla Lilies
I adore this exquisite little crystal basket filled with fresh flowers and jet beads
On either side of the foot of the aisle we'd arranged these magnificent vases filled with White Delphinium Elatum, White Gladioli, White Peonies and White Hydrangeas, we'd tied black voile around the base of the vase and fixed the bow with a turquoise brooch
The ceiling dressing, chair covers and brooches were all provided by the brilliant Dawn from
Creative Cover HireThe Aisle was lined with lanterns and Rose petals
Paul Varjak:People do fall in love, people do belong to each other, because that's the only chance anybody's got for real happiness." You call yourself a free spirit, a "wild thing," and you're terrified somebody's gonna stick you in a cage. Well baby, you're already in that cage. You built it yourself.
Stephanie made these exquisite Faberge style eggs in the cages to decorate the outside tables, seriously impressive!
