Louise & Jon live in New York and really wanted to have a truly "English Wedding" complete with a very English collection of exquisite fresh flowers.
It is always a complete joy to create bridal flowers for Brides who have an absolute love and passion not only for their Bride Groom's but for flowers too, no-one could love their flowers more than the lovely Louise.
Louise had found our blog over a year ago and had been inspired by the variety of flowers we use and hopefully by the style of designs, when we did eventually meet following lots of email correspondence we completely connected and were totally on the same page in terms of the flowers we both loved!
When the "Big Day" finally arrived I was so excited to present Louise with her delectable wedding bouquet ....
Louise had a collection of David Austin's finest Roses, Love in the Mist, Lily of the Valley, Blossoms, Sweet Peas, Peonies, Aquilega, Astrantia and fresh herbs and foliages.
The Flower Girls heavenly posies of fragrant Sweet Peas
The fabulous Emma Draper was busy doing Louise's Make up and very gorgeous it looked too when it was all completed
Then we were off to All Hallows Church, which is literally just across the road from Mitton Hall, we'd dressed their magnificent internal arch with a plethora of Louise & Jon's favourite flowers, Juliet, Patience & Miranda Roses, Hydrangeas, Peonies, Astilbe, Ivy Trails, Hosta Leaves, Nigella, Dill, Amaranthus, Ferns, Spirea, Asters and Peach Avalanche Roses.
The windowsills had Rose Petal filled Hurricane lamps that were surrounded by fresh foliages
The Pews were dressed with exquisite posies of White Lilac, Roses, Peonies, Astilbe and Hosta
On the floor just in front of the Altar which is where the Register will be signed, we'd created a parallel Arrangement that fitted the space perfectly
The Ushers arrived for us to pin on their boutonnieres of Juliet Roses
The Buttonholes included a Juliet Rose, a Scabious Seed Head, a sprig of Rosemary, some fresh Blackberries and Ivy Leaves
Gill Mack is the very proud Vicar in charge of All Hallows, she does a fabulous job and her sermons within the wedding service are always so well thought out and considered, I really enjoy sitting in on her services.
We had dressed the arch way outside, again with a really fragrant collection of fresh English Country flowers, it was colourful and really welcoming for all of the guests
We used Bay Trees dressed with lots of lovely Roses
We had a collection of Wrist corsages and Boutonnieres to hand out and attach

We had such a wonderful day with Louise and Jon and felt truly honoured to have been a small part of such a very special day, many, many thanks to Louise and Jon and their families for trusting us, bearing in mind most of the plans were done via email from New York to Lancashire, every wedding we do is special but this was extra special not least because Louise really had high expectations and knew her flowers!
We know they're going to have wonderful life together and hope that the fragrance from their wedding day will bring happy memories flooding back to them, we hope they plant lots of Sweet Peas and David Austin Roses where ever they go!!!!!!!!
~
Huge thanks to them for the very special gift they sent to us, we intend to share and enjoy it with all the team on a day when we don't have a wedding!!!!
