The "Vintage Travel" Themed Wedding Day of The Very Lovely Charlotte & James Wheeler

Charlotte works at one of our very favourite wedding venues The Great Hall at Mains and it was a testament to their brilliance that Charlotte chose to celebrate her marriage to James there too!!!
~
It is always a huge pleasure to create flowers for Brides that I really know, as many of our Brides will be aware, by the time I get to create your wedding flowers we are huge friends but for Charlotte we were already friends, I already knew about the kind of things she liked way before I'd created her sample wedding bouquet or seen her mood board! but I didn't know James, Charlotte & I had a great time planning and designing whilst James took enormous pleasure in paying the bill, he is our hero, allowing Charlotte to have everything she wished for!!!
The first delivery of the day was of course the Bridal Bouquets to the lovely Charlotte and her gorgeous Bridesmaids, the wedding dress was hanging in the window looking glorious!

The Bridal Bouquet was a beautiful collection of vintage Roses featuring Quick Sand & Faith, together with fresh Lily of the Valley and Sweet Peas, the scent was heavenly, the handle of the bouquet was covered in lace and finished of with an elegant Cameo locket.
At The Great Hall at Mains the scene was set and what a magnificent scene it was, huge spheres of romantic vintage blooms sat on clear glass vases framed the the beginning of the aisle
Our Vintage table and chair set stood just over to the right and was dressed with a candlelit Bird Cage surrounded by Roses, Blossom, Hydrangeas and Sweet Peas.
The tall pedestal designs were filled with Peonies, Blossom, Lilac, Roses, Viburnum Opulus & Spirea
On the floor at the start of the aisle were garlands of fresh flowers

On the small Registrars table to the left of the ceremony space a candlelit Birdcage took centre stage
In the centre just below the fireplace a fragrant garland of flowers sat, the Gothic candle stands were softened with fresh blousy designs at their base and fresh Rose Petals strewn around the floor
Our uber handsome Bride Groom the totally fabulous James
James had chosen an Amnesia Rose from the Roses used in Charlottes Wedding Bouquet, we'd used Rolled Quick Sand Roses and fresh fragrant Jasmine to complete his Boutonniere
The Best Men & Groom's Men were all wearing Quick Sand Roses for their Boutonnieres

The Groom's Mum's Corsage of deep Blue Delphinium Volkerfrieden, Rolled Vendella Rose Petals and blue Eryngium Thistles

Inside the tall elegant vases we'd arranged a small posy of fresh Roses, I love this kind of attention to detail
The aisle was lined with our LSA Hurricane Lamps, they were filled with fresh Rose petals the scent of which was heightened by the warmth of the candles

The Bride's Brothers & Grandad
All of the occasional tables were dressed with Rose Petals and candlelit hurricane lamps

James and his lovely Mum
James' Mum's Corsage in Royal Blue & Cream matched her outfit perfectly

The super elegant Melanie & stunning Chriss from The Great Hall at Mains were lucky enough to be guests at this very special wedding!
The completely fabulous Roger & Adele owners of TGHM
The lovely little flower girl was first out looking very excited
Therese the Bride's stunning Mum, she really doesn't look old enough to have a daughter getting married, we'd created a wrist corsage on a diamante bracelet for her
The Brides looked just perfect in their soft pink gowns
Their Bouquets were smaller simpler versions of the bridal bouquet and toned with the shade of pink perfectly

James and his Best Men waited patiently

The Flower Girl carried one of our brand new Magic wands, the handle was surrounded by a delicate posy of Sweet Peas, Rose Buds and Lily of the Valley

Finally our truly beautiful Bride Charlotte arrived accompanied by her Dad

Charlottes wedding bouquet of Vintage Roses Quick Sand, Faith, Sweet Avalanche, Bombastic, Amnesia, Avalanche, Snowflake and David Austin's Keira together with fresh white Sweet Peas and fragrant Lily of the Valley really was completely heavenly, we'd finished the handle with a cameo to compliment the cameo brooch on her classically elegant gown
The Bridesmaids looked so elegant as they waited for the music to begin

The Great Hall at Mains is such a spectacular venue for the wedding ceremony
