A Sneaky Peek at Sarah & Andrew's Samlesbury Hall Wedding Day

Huge Congratulations to Sarah & Andrew from all of the team here at Flower Design Events
Sarah's beautiful Bridesmaids carried gorgeous bouquets in vintage shades of Aubergine & Ivory
The Bridal Bouquet included some beautiful seasonal goodies, the first of this years "Snowberry" fabulous Wax Flower, Arabicum, Calla Lilies in Aubergine & Ivory, Roses; Metalina, Amnesia & Norma Jean together with some super fragrant herbs
The Wedding Breakfast was served in The Great Hall at the totally magical Samlesbury Hall where the tables were dressed with low silver fruit bowls filled with a glorious array of Roses, Hydrangeas, Herbs and foliages
The Top table design was dominated by chunky chaple candles surrounded by Roses, Hydrangeas, Calla Lilies and herbs

Out Doors Classically Elegant Gibbon Bridge Wedding

The Band Stand at Gibbon Bridge looked completely heavenly for this gorgeous outside wedding, Carol & Dax have superb taste, they knew exactly the look they were going for, mainly ivory and crisp whites with a highlight colours of deep aubergine and purple.
The arch was garlanded with fragrant herbs, Avalanche Roses, Lissianthus, black Dill, Calla Lilies and white Hydrangeas

The Registrars table was dressed with Goldfish Bowls with Arum Lilies encircling chapel candles

Dax was wearing a very special Groom's Boutonniere of a Crystal Blush Calla Lily, Stephanotis and fresh fragrant Lily of the Valley

Carol looked simply stunning her gown was classically elegant showing off her immaculate figure
The wedding bouquet reflected the fluid shape of Carol's column shaped bridal gown
In this elegant white trailing wedding bouquet I used three different sizes of Calla & Arum lilies, Fresh Lily of the Valley, Stephanotis and a superb selection of sculptural leaves and ferns
The two adult Bridesmaids carried matching bridesmaids bouquets of deep aubergine Calla Lilies
The adorable little Flower Girl carried a pomander of tiny fresh rose buds

The Groom's Men were all wearing Aubergine Calla Lily Boutonnieres to compliment the Bridesmaids Bouquets

Huge Congratulations to Carol & Dax from all of the Flower Design Team

Even Dax & Carol's Dog was wearing a floral collar!

The Seating Plan swag finished off the board beautifully
The Goldfishbowls from the Registrars table were moved on to the top table
The Goldfish bowls from the steps were placed on the windowsills in the dining room
We created an elevated bowl design for the Guest Book table
Rose Petals and diamantes were sprinkled on the table tops creating a romantic bridal atmosphere

Each of the tables were dressed with super thick glass Goldfish bowls with Calla Lilies, Grasses and Green Knifofia circulating around a huge central candle
The table menus matched the table designs beautifully, I love this co-ordinated look!!!

The Perfectly Purple Wedding Day of Nicola & Michael McVeigh at The Great Hall at Mains

Firstly "The Big Reveal", the best thing about this bit for me is that when I open up the tissue the most wonderful fragrance is released in to the room, particularly when the bouquets include such a plethora of fragrant blooms, Sweet Peas, Peonies and David Austin Roses to name but three...

This was such a magical day, we caught up with the lovely Nicola and her gorgeous Bridesmaids; Vicky, Lyndsey & Tamsin at the Bride & Groom's gorgeous apartment at Admiral Point, we did the all essential and much looked forward to Bouquet holding lesson with the girls....
I introduced Nicola to all of the exquisite flowers, I'd used some "Love in the Mist", Lissianthus, Purple, Pink & White Sweet Peas, Pink & White Peonies, Mimi Eden, Aqua and David Austin's Patience Roses all of which were brought to life by the zingy lime coloured Alchemilla Mollis. The Sweet peas toned with the deep purple of the Bridesmaids dresses perfectly

I also included a gentle "jshush" of fragrant Jasmine to simper down the front of the bouquet
The Bridesmaid's posies were smaller versions of the wedding bouquet
Nicola looked so beautiful

And The Great Hall at Mains looked so beautiful too, this really is a totally fabulous setting for a civil ceremony, it has all of the majesty and drama of a church with the absolute convenience of being all in the same place as the reception, all in all a completely fabulous venue!

The Registrars table design created around a cluster of two church candles with a profusion of English Summer flowers including Campanulas, Alliums, Monkshood, Antirhinnums, Stocks, Peonies, Roses, "Love in the Mist", Agapanthus, Hydrangeas, Roses, Peonies and Sweet Peas.
The tall Pedestal vases were quite honestly breathtaking with huge stems of statuesque Delphiniums towering over the design and then Hydrangeas, Alliums, Peonies & Antirhinnums clustered around the top of the vase.
The tall pedestal vases framed the ceremony space perfectly
Mike, Nicola's groom looking extremely handsome, we'd made him an Avalanche and Lissianthus Boutonniere complete with a flourish of Champagne Grass
The exquisite Bridesmaids dressed in purple with Pink & Purple bouquets

Nicola and her lovely Brother arrived

Bridesmaid's bouquet to tone with Aubergine
Michael was giving Nicola away, we'd made him an Aqua Rose Boutonniere
Nicola looked completely stunning
Lizzie from The Great Hall at Mains was on hand to "fluff" the brides train just before she headed up the aisle

The car was so lovely and it was from "Whirlwind Executive Travel"
Huge Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs McVeigh
(You may notice on the left of this shot a touch of a camera man, this belongs to ABC Video and unlike many other video companies, I've had a job to find a picture with him in it, so descreet is their service)
Lizzie was there t o hand the happy couple their glasses of Champagne

How completely gorgeous! My favourite image of the wedding boquet in Purple, Pinks and Ivory
Lizzie & Mel form TGHM, there is a fabulous team at TGHm and they work together so beautifully to achieve fabulous events and weddings
Josh on the bar and atall Martini Vase of Alliums, Campanula Glomerata & Hydrangeas

The Brides Sister wore a corsage of Crystal Blush Calla Lily & Patience Rose, the Ushers all wore Aqua Roses with Chamapgne Grass

The Grooms mum had her Handbag dressed to co-ordinate with her floral dress, we included double Lissianthus, Single "Sylvia" Protea petals, Captain Rosette Calla Lily and that rather strange Rose "Exciting" the one where the buds come out of the middle of the rose head.

Mike is a Policeman & Nicola Telephanist at Bonny Street Police Station their cake toppers were absolutely brilliant and were a perfect facsimile, the cake itself was from the "Little House of Cup Cakes" and no doubt tasted delicious

The table centrepieces were designed on tall black Martini Glasses

Hydrangeas and Alchemilla Mollis
Alliums & Antirhinnums
White Peonies

The Deep Purple ties and Chair covers were by my all time favourite linen hire company "Creative Cover Hire"
Many Thanks to Nicola & Mike for choosing Flower Design and we wish them every happiness in their new life together!
