The Exquisitely Beautiful Wedding of Kate & James Garthwaite at St Annes Parish Church & The Grand Hotel St Annes

Cast your mind back to Friday morning, you'll remember the heavens opened and torrential rain ensued, I couldn't for the life of me imagine that vivid blue skies and brilliant sunshine would be gracing our skies by lunch time but they were, so a very happy bride greeted me at The Grand about an hour before her wedding ceremony.

I love Kate she's a fantastic bride with exquisite taste and a hysterical sense of humour, I will, I fear miss her, she lives in Birmingham, so unlike many of my Brides she won't be popping in for the odd bunch flowers and a quick catch up too regularly.

The wedding bouquet holding lesson went really well, these beautiful girls were professional Bridal Bouquet holders
Kate's wedding bouquet was in a soft pastel palette, I used White Peonies, Lily of the Valley, Stephanotis and Sweet Peas alongside some fragrant David Austin English Garden Roses: Miranda, Juliet, Patience and Rosalind

Kate & James were married at St Annes Parish Church, this is a glorious Church with a lovely long tree lined pathway from the Lytch Gate up to the front door.

I'd arranged a sumptuous pedestal of English Delphiniums and Hydrangeas and then a plethora of delicious Roses in shades of cream, soft pink, apricot and buttermilk.

The Porch area was dressed with lanterns and tiny posies of Patience, Juliet and Miranda Roses with Hydrangea, Astilbe and Panicum.
Then we caught up with the lovely James, Kate's very handsome groom and his party to pin on the buttonholes.

The pathway around the door area was lined with some hanging lanterns

James was wearing a boutonniere of fresh Lily of Valley and a Juliet Rose

We'd dressed the Lytch Gate Arch with fresh flowers, this was to be a complete surprise for the Bride ordered for her by her fabulous Mother in Law Maggie, just look out for Kate's reaction when she spots it...
The Bridesmaids bouquets were smaller simpler versions of Kate's wedding bouquet

I included pink and white Peonies, Miranda, Patience, Juliet and Rosalind Roses in the Bridesmaid's pastel shaded bouquets that complimented their deep blue gowns beautifully

The photographer was the brilliant David Murray check out his website, it's completely stunning, I can't wait to see his work. Father Stephen came down to the Lytch Gate to meet Kate and her Father

The top table design was a Flower Design Hanging Gardens of Babylon DesignWe'd dressed the tables with a combination of high and low designs, the higher designs were created on a Baroque style silver candelsticks topped with a sphere of roses, peonies and hydrangeas
