The Full Flower Story of Jordanna & Anthony Woodman's "Vintage Rose" Wedding Day at The Great Hall at Mains

This was such a special wedding day for us, Jordanna and Anthony and their families have been friends of FD since forever, Ruth, Jordanna's spectacular mum has planned and organised more parties, dinners, weddings and Bar Mitzvah's than I've had hot dinners, so we felt enormously privileged to be asked again to create flowers for the totally wonderful wedding day of Jordanna & Anthony...
~
Our inspiration came from the exquisite "Antique Rose" fabric of the Flower Girls dresses (You'll see those later) In real life not only was it exquisitely fragranced and it looked a lot like this, Jordanna's wedding bouquet of Peonies, Roses; Darcey, Miranda, Amnesia and Metalina, deep pink Sweet Peas and Eucalyptus

So we did the Wedding bouquet holding lesson with all the Bridesmaid's
Even with rollers in her hair Jordanna looked fantastic

Ruth & Jordanna thankfully thrilled with the bouquets

The ceremony was at The Great Hall at Mains and as per the families wishes, many of the usual features (Candles, tapestry, coat of arms etc) had been removed, which just goes to show how fabulously adaptable the team at TGHM are, it does give the space a completely different look though and I rather liked it!
We'd lined the aisle with fresh Rose fragrant Rose Petals, and Hurricane Lanterns
The ceremony area was framed by two vases of Delphiniums, Roses, Peonies and Hydrangeas.
The Registrars tables were very simply dressed with small posies of fresh flowers and crystal candelabras
The chairs were dressed alternately with clusters of fresh Roses, Peonies, Hydrangeas and Eucalyptus

At the foot of the aisle we arranged two tall silver candle sticks with huge spheres of Hydrangeas, Peonies, Roses and Eucalyptus

Each of the bar tables had it's own bowl of Roses

The very handsome Groom Anthony, I pinned on his boutonniere of clustered Roses, Rose petals, Rosemary, Eucalyptus and Hydrangeas
The lovely Best Man was wearing a Darcey Rose Buttonhole

The beginnings of the starters, there was more to be added to this plate but it just looked so colourful it had to have it's picture taken or be eaten!!!!
Table designs, well we decided to go for a bit of an assortment of designs, it encourage cross table conversation and social interaction, so this one a bit Ikebana inspired, droplet vases from LSA with contorted hazel dripping in Amaranthus, within the vase clusters of "Purple Power" Roses, Hydrangeas and fresh Pink Sarah Bernhardt Peonies!
