Christmas Wedding at Storrs Hall at Bowness on Windermere

Storrs Hall is a fabulous country house hotel, it's a fabulous venue for a wedding.

We piled frosted fruits in the centre of each of the tables, I arranged the flowers high up on the table stands which meant that the guests had a good view of the lake outside and each other.
Each guest had a posy of fragrant herbs at their place setting.

The views are truly magnificent from the dining room

The Dining room is light and airy

We decorated the Rotunda with fresh foliages and wreaths of spruce and holly.

The ceremony took place in the lounge overlooking the lake.

Christmas Wedding at The White Church & The Grand Hotel St Annes

Christmas Daydreams by Flower Design The Big Guy doing the bouquet holding lesson with the lovely Samantha
The look we aimed to achieve for Sam & Graham's big day is one of timeless elegance, class and beauty, tinged with snowy sparkles, twinkles and fur trims. Classic colour schemes that can sit elegantly at the traditional exterior of the Grand and in its internal modernity. Using graceful greens and whites with highlights in silver and frosting, creating an overall look, one of warmth, opulence, class and elegance. Although the overall ambiance is to be one of classic understatement, each individual flower is to be representative of opulence, really full and beautiful, a white Avalanche rose with the sparkle frosting for example. The simplicity can be derived from the fresh and natural colour scheme, where the opulence and elegance is suggested through the volume of flowers and how they are presented.

Brides Father's Buttonhole close up

The bouquet I made for Sam was really very gentle, a gathered posy of Avalanche & Akito Roses, White Anemones, White Lilac & Lily of the Valley, Fresh Rosemary, Pinus Strobus, Skimmia & Dracena Lemon Tips

The White Church is quite fabulous and unique we dress it in keeping with the majesty within, Sam wanted a candle lit ceremony which really was very atmospheric.

The dramatic pedestals are extremely high and suit The White Church Perfectly, The Reverend David Philips conducts a great ceremony that I always really enjoy sitting in on.

The festoons framed the doorway

Elegant Pedestal with a huge candle.

Lanterns and candles dressed all the windowsills and ledges around The White Church.

Fresh flowers in the niches of the porch.

Lanterns on the steps for a warm welcome.
We hung festoons of fresh flowers and Christmas foliages from the wall lanterns in the porch.

The Porch area at The White Church is a fabulous area for photography if the weather isn't great

The Groom Graham's Buttonierre incorporated an Avalanche roses slightly frosted and a sprig of fresh Lily of the Valley.

The pew ends were dressed with small simple nosegays of Avalanche Rose & White Nerine.

The Bride & Groom signing the register Photographs are by Abigail & Eye and are quite brilliant we love working with these two girls they do fabulous job.

The White Church was so atmospheric

On of the pew end decorations used to dress the cake table.

A Close up of one of the Avalanche Roses used to dress each guests napkin.

The bar was dressed with a huge vase of fresh co-ordinating flowers.

We used the church pedestals around the outer perimiter of the room.

On the backs of some of the chiars we attached the fresh Rose & Nerine Pew End decorations.

At each place setting we placed a fresh frosted Avalanche rose tied with ivory voile crystal ribbon.
We used half high and half low table designs, on the low tables we created a design surrounding a hurricane lamp and dressed the table top with fresh rose petals and diamante dew drops.

We used tall table stands on some tables and these allow guests to see one another across the table.

The Grand looked like a magical, fairytale Narnia land.

Christmas Wedding at Don Luigi's in Formby

This was a very stylish wedding, our gorgeous bride had her own full on trend look and a clear vision for her wedding day. The Bridal Bouquet: I designed this bouquet to compliment Sarah's dynamic gown , I used Grand Prix Roses, Schwartzwalder Calla Lilies, Black Steel berries, Fresh Rosemary for Remembrance & Black Ostrich Feathers, I bejewelled the bouquet with black bugle beads I'd threaded on to fine wire and diamante studs.

Jan & his Groom's Men wore deep red Grand Prix Roses, Jan's was finished with some Black Bugle Beads & a Schwartzwalder Calla Lily.
Sarah's Mum wore a wrist corsage of Aubergine Paphiopedilum orchids to co-ordinate with her lovely winter Bride's Mum outfit
St. Peter's Church in Formby is really beautiful, lots of warm woood a very cosy church. the Bride & Groom organised a Marquee canopy that covered the entire path from the gate to the church door, we lined it with illuminated lanterns. The weather was quite grim lots of rain and hale but you really didn't notice whilst under the canopy.

I used large Black Candelabras in church with a gorgeous collection of seasonal flowers including White Euphorbia Fulgens, Chocco Anthuriums, Gerbera, Ilex Verticularta and Grand Prix Roses.

The pews were dressed with tiny nosegays of Roses, Anthuriums, Skimmia and Gerberas.

The Bouquet was a perfect accessory for this modern bride.
The venue for the wedding breakfast was Don Luigi's in Formby, this is the second wedding we've done here and we just love it, the people are really great extremely helpful and they always feed us! and I can report the food is fantastic mmuch, much more than your average Italian it's well worth a visit.
The Italian Restaurant was transformed into a night club, the walls were draped with white star cloth, there were huge mirror balls and a light up dance floor.
The cake was an amazing creation six tiers of chocolate and glamour.
All of the tables were different shapes and sizes and so were the floral displays, I made large Martini Glasses, Mirror Bowls, Black Cubes and Goldfish bowls.
I sat the designs on mirrors and used mirror balls in some of them, we illuminated the tables with candles and tea lights, besides the stra cloth there was no other lights on which really added to the atmosphere.
