Christmas Wedding at The White Church & The Grand Hotel St Annes

Christmas Daydreams by Flower Design The Big Guy doing the bouquet holding lesson with the lovely Samantha
The look we aimed to achieve for Sam & Graham's big day is one of timeless elegance, class and beauty, tinged with snowy sparkles, twinkles and fur trims. Classic colour schemes that can sit elegantly at the traditional exterior of the Grand and in its internal modernity. Using graceful greens and whites with highlights in silver and frosting, creating an overall look, one of warmth, opulence, class and elegance. Although the overall ambiance is to be one of classic understatement, each individual flower is to be representative of opulence, really full and beautiful, a white Avalanche rose with the sparkle frosting for example. The simplicity can be derived from the fresh and natural colour scheme, where the opulence and elegance is suggested through the volume of flowers and how they are presented.

The bouquet I made for Sam was really very gentle, a gathered posy of Avalanche & Akito Roses, White Anemones, White Lilac & Lily of the Valley, Fresh Rosemary, Pinus Strobus, Skimmia & Dracena Lemon Tips

The White Church is quite fabulous and unique we dress it in keeping with the majesty within, Sam wanted a candle lit ceremony which really was very atmospheric.

The dramatic pedestals are extremely high and suit The White Church Perfectly, The Reverend David Philips conducts a great ceremony that I always really enjoy sitting in on.

A Close up of one of the Avalanche Roses used to dress each guests napkin.

The bar was dressed with a huge vase of fresh co-ordinating flowers.

We used the church pedestals around the outer perimiter of the room.

On the backs of some of the chiars we attached the fresh Rose & Nerine Pew End decorations.

At each place setting we placed a fresh frosted Avalanche rose tied with ivory voile crystal ribbon.
We used half high and half low table designs, on the low tables we created a design surrounding a hurricane lamp and dressed the table top with fresh rose petals and diamante dew drops.

We used tall table stands on some tables and these allow guests to see one another across the table.

The Grand looked like a magical, fairytale Narnia land.
