Emma & Matthew McLaren's Autumn Fall Wedding Day at Lytham Hall

Emma & Matthew both live in Australia so we've enjoyed lots of E-mail correspondence leading up to this gorgeous wedding day, Emma really wanted to celebrate the season making the most of the rich russets, deep ochres and and ruby reds whilst including a selection of typically Antipodean and native English blooms and foliages, you can imagine we had great fun in putting these ideas into physical designs.
~
So representing Australia I included Angiozanthos known as Kangaroo Paw, Eucalyptus aka Blue Gum Tree, Black Dahlias, Gladioli and Koala Grass.
Our English Heritage was spectacularly epitomized by the truly glorious deep red Rose Grand Prix, the tiny floribunda Rose Red Sensation and Black Baccara, Fresh Fragrant Rosemary, Monbretia, Snowberry, Viburnum Opulus Berry, Hawthorn, Hypericum, Red Robin and Ruby Crystal Nerines.
I also included some exquisite Mokara Orchids from Singapore to cover the bit in-between!

The Bridal Bouquet Presentation, always a nerve racking moment... Emma's fabulous Mum, Wendy, I made a light and delicate corsage for her of sweet scented Stephanotis and Red Sensation Rose Buds

The Father of the Bride Chris was still in his dressing gown so Wendy had to don his jacket for me to pin on the Rose boutonniere The Bridesmaids were presented with their bouquets
And then a little FD bouquet holding lesson
Then to the majestic surroundings of Lytham Hall The scene was set in the Upper West Wing of Lytham Hall for the ceremony

I'd continued the English & Antipodean vibe using Australian Brush, Gladioli, Amaryllis, Roses and Euphorbia Fulgens in the tall free standing designs that would frame the actual ceremony.
~
On the registrars table we'd created a simple textured bowl of Dahlias, Euphorbia Fulgens, Leucaspernum, Hydrangeas, Scorpion Orchids and Roses

The chairs were dressed by Creative Cover Hire and finished off with small posies of Amaranthus, Anthurium, Grand Prix & Black Baccara Roses and Viburnum Opulus Berries.

Then Our Emma & Our Emily went down to the front gates to meet Emma's handsome Groom Matthew and his Groom's Men to pin on their Boutonniere's

We used Black baccara Roses, Amaranthus, Hypericum and Eucalyptus Foliage

Then the haevens opened in a typical show of very English weather

Moments later our groom was punching the sun kissed air in a show of triumph with the re-emergence of Summer (brought along of course by the Australian contingent!)
My great friend Stephanie Ashton of the now world famous Ashton Photography was back down to shirtsleeves as the weather just got better and better
