The Great Hall at Mains Open Evening Last Thursday

There are of course reasons why we do so many weddings at certain venues and work with so many of the same Wedding & Event professionals; Photographers, Caterers, Chair Cover Specialists, Beauty Therapists, Wedding Gown Shops and so on.

It's simple, remarkable suppliers gravitate together, there are no commissions, back handers or other tasteless incentives to make reccomendations just a complete belief that, that supplier will do their very best for our respective clients.

The Great Hall at Mains are a case in point, Roger, Adele, Chriss and all the team there do their upmost to provide an all round excellent experience for their clients, not only do they "Come up with the goods" on the day but I always think it's a bit like being part of an exclusive "Couples who are having their wedding there Club". TGHM hold events like this one last Thursday evening and meet with the couples to discuss ideas all the time nothing is too much trouble.

Their clients are regularly invited to Open Evenings & Days they come along to see alternative room set ups, to see the space and gardens at various times of the year, to enjoy their hospitality, meet their suggested caterers and generally take in the very special atmosphere that is The Great Hall at Mains... We dressed the faux top table with fresh flowers, our friends at Creative Cover Hire had already done a beautiful job of cloths, swags & chairs.

I love Passion Flowers they look so dramatic.

The front part of the hall was dressed for a banquet, we used our gorgeous candelabras.

The table top was sprinkled with fresh rose petals, diamante dew drops and tea light votives.

At the top end of The Hall, it was dressed as if for a civil ceremony, complete with Registrars table and huge pedestal design

Unusually for September we included some Peonies, Delphinium, Orchids & Illusion Roses

On the Bar a simple elegant martini vase with Birds of Paradise & Orchids.

So if your looking for a venue for 2011 check out The Great Hall it really is one of the very best venues in the North of England.
